Tip #1: Wash and pre-cut your vegetables as soon as you get home from the grocery store! Place 1/2 of them in a single large container for quick dinner prep. Save the other half for Tip #2!
Tip #2: Pack your veggies ahead of time in multiple small containers or ziplock bags for the perfect grab and go snack! If they're all ready to go, you'll be more likely to snack on these healthy treats :)
Tip #3: Get the veggies out of the crisper! After you've pre-washed and pre-cut all of your veggies (from tip #1 and #2), place them front and centre in the fridge! The more visible they are, the more likely you are to pick them when it comes snack time!
Tip #4: Choose organic! Organic vegetables not only provide more nutrients, but they also have much more flavour! Your plain and boring celery will suddenly be pumped full of deliciousness!
Tip #5: Add flavour without adding calories! Sprinkle your steamed veggies with a vegetable seasoning; your local grocery store will have a wide variety to choose from (low sodium options are best!). When it comes to dips, opt for healthy choices, like hummus. It's also helpful to pre-package dip into single servings using small tupperware containers; not only will this save you time when rushing out the door, but you'll also be less likely to over-do it on the serving size.
